James Barnor

Posted by Esther Oluka on

We are loving the photography of James Barnor, the Ghanaian photographer who captured the essence of life in Accra through is studio Ever Young.

Barnor moved to London in the 50s and started capturing unique images of Africans living in Britain.

Most of his work was when he was a fashion photographer and most of his famous work was in the Drum magazine.

The pictures have become slices of history, documenting race and modernity in the post-colonial world.
