Fragments is a song for the pieced-together self. This work explores a version of identity built from remnants some smooth, some sharp, some cold; fragments of memory, pain, and joy.

In this painting, I stopped searching for a perfect reconstruction of the past and began to build something entirely new. The figure is made of fragments, yet she moves, she breathes, and she holds her own weight. It is a celebration of the self-sustaining power found in the reassembly.

A reminder that strength is found in how we put ourselves back together.
