About this piece.

Sunny Side Up II is a meditation on the labor behind the illusion. In this second half of the series, the focus shifts from chasing a feeling to accepting the reality of the process. The composition is split: the lower half shows a figure who appears "Instagram-ready"calm, composed, and basked in sunlight. The top half, however, reveals the truth the frenetic energy of splashing water as she pedals beneath the surface to maintain the shot. It is a visual metaphor for the silent work we do to appear effortless. By letting go of the need to control the outcome, this piece became exactly what it needed to be: an honest reflection on the duality of modern existence and the strength found in the "underwater" struggle.
